Great to see this tavern survive. A lot of pubs/restaurants could learn a thing or two from this establishment. It was nice to see the original landlady still upon her throne from 13 years ago. The food portions where great then and they still are now! Don't get upset if the staff ask you once or twice if everything is OK or ask you if you need anything else....they are just making sure you enjoy yourselves. Great evening there.

Covid secure and safe. Just back from a trip up the Llangollen canal and ate in this pub twice. Very good covid management at the main door and we were made welcome by the very friendly staff who showed us to our table and explained 'the rules'. One person from each party is allowed to approach the screened off bar to chose drinks, although I witnessed other people opt for full table service. Our food was excellant on both ocassions, arrived promptly and piping hot. The staff took the time to chat about the teapot collection which interested my wife, even though they were clearly very busy. Keep up the good work Willeymoore! 10/10 highly recommend.

Excellent. A family run tavern that seems well organised and flexible with requests to tweek menu items to accommodate. We had battered fish - clearly cooked on the premises as the batter making was discussed. Top notch fare for hungry canal boaters.

Edit: Super location and had hoped to sit in the beer garden for a meal (we had the dog with us) but we were unable to stay as the inside of the pub was full. Plenty of outdoor seats reserved for drinks only. I asked if we could sit out and was told they would not be able to serve due to Covid. I explained we were happy to wait for food but again told no. I have visited this pub several times over the past couple of years and unfortunately feel that this sums up the staff. Great if they are empty but if bus, pot luck.

Very helpful staff, Jennifer in particular was very pleasant. Lovely meal. Social distancing was good with hand sanitiser and one way system in place, details taken. Oh and the beer was good too! Well done folks 😊
