Its a very convenient and great place to stay. Good parking spaces for guests in the heart of town with no restrictions at all. Its not too expensive for under a week.
I lived at the lodge for a year and can honestly say it was one of the most pleasant places I've ever lived. The landlords are 10/10 property maintenance 10/10 cleanliness 10/10 A community inside a community. Sad to leave.
I would avoid this place. I stayed as a guest due to the fact that I was on a short term contract in Hoddesdon. I then took the offer of renting a room. Unfortunately there were all sorts of things happening at this place which is best not mentioned. I left as soon as certain things came to light. The room was advertised as all bills included. Three years afterwords, I get a bill of £700 for council tax. The tax band for the property was changed and the landlord did not want to pay it so decided to pass this off to the tenants despite the fact he had advertised the property as all bills included.
Clean and friendly. Owners are very nice people. Willing to help out any time.
Stopped for one night mid week. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were absolutely spotless. Plenty of tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits in the room. I can honestly say the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept in at a hotel anywhere, including a 5 star hotel in Sitges, Spain. Wouldn't hesitate to stop again in the future.
