Traditional pub with log burners, a warm welcome and good food.
COVID makes things a challenge, and they did a very nice job of handling everyone safely in the garden. But still some hiccups. Things took a while to come (wasn't that busy) and our server didn't know much about the beers on offer (there's Master Brew). The beef was very cooked. Starters were really good (try whitebait or Scotch egg). Suggestion: don't play "My Old Man's a Dustman" when people are trying to eat. Excellent spot for a pub lunch after a walk.
Beautiful food. Lovely surroundings and an excellent waitress/waiter service.
A very homely honest local hostelry....well worth a visit. The food's great as well !!
