Unique traditional historic creekside dog friendly pub offering a good range of real ales and decent pub grub. Very cosy with an open fire in the winter and a range of books for those who prefer to sit quietly. Great views, especially when high tide at dusk. Out of town but well worth the drive/walk/cycle.

It's been too long since I've been to the Shipwright's. My wife had never been, and declared it her new favourite pub after our visit today. The Covid safety arrangements were robust and sensible and cheery (in contrast to some other pubs where you feel like you're being scolded for even contemplating going there), and the whole mood was really welcoming. Excellent Goacher's and bar snacks. The three of us (including my wife's sister) couldn't speak highly enough of the couple of hours we spent relaxing in the garden at the Shipwright's.

Always worth the effort to go there, the craft beers are always very decent. Landlord very old-school if you get my drift. Don't upset him!! You're love the location of the place, beautiful on a summer's day looking across the water

Okay, we have the various restrictions to deal with but at the Shipwright's they have it all well in hand. Good pub grub, not a pretentious gastro, that means a fair price, good beer and a friendly welcome. Outside seating in a marquee which was fair enough and anyway you have the Creek nearby - what's to lose ! Well done The Shipwright's Arms I say.

Superb out-of-the-way creek fronted pub filled with the sounds of boat rigging and sea odors. Great walks around encompassing bird sanctuaries and of course cask ales too refresh the weary traveler A++
