A beautiful site located in beautiful part of the world. A very short walk away from town so the local facilities (ie Pubs) are usable. If you are camping and prefer an old school approach then this perfect. Pitches are just about wherever you would like, be that tucked in corner for a bit of privacy and protection from the wind (as we were) or on the edge of the river. Fires are not only allowed but catered for with upcycled braziers. The toilets and showers are modern, clean. The washing up area is great, with the added bonuses of fridges, freezers, kettles and a microwave so you can't go wrong. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Cheers, Paul

Amazing little campsite in the heart of Wales. Lovely river running through the middle of it and amazing views surrounding it. Good clean facilities, and very close to the cute town of Llanidloes. Janet and Andrew, the owners, were really lovely and welcoming.

First time camping at Dol-Llys but wont be the last, very impressed with the beautiful settings, layout of the campsite and the very friendly/helpful owners. Great choice of electric hookups, very reasonably priced and a 20min walk into Llanidloes town. The beautiful river severn running through the campsite is an extra bonus, would definitely recommend to others +++++

This has been our favourite site so far - Janet and Andrew offer a relaxed atmosphere, they are extremely helpful and their easily accessible site is absolutely stunning and well kept. The river Severn runs through one section of the site, cows and sheep are in their adjacent fields, buzzards and red kites fly overhead and owls can be heard at night. Packs of wood can be bought for use in their chimenias and fire pits. There are some amazing walks and the town of Llanidloes is within easy walking distance. We will be back in 2021 for sure!
