Our 1st visit, the food was very good, especially the roast beef. I seldom write reviews but thought this pub warranted it as the food was 👌
We stayed at The Star and Eagle on a Saturday night. My husband, son and I were thrilled to see there was a Spanish evening the same night. We were greeted by wonderful staff and our room was absolutely stunning, a 4 poster bed, absolutely immaculately clean with everything we needed within and more. We had drinks in the bar, very reasonably priced and had a lovely chat with the owners who are just wonderful! We joined the Spanish Evening which started with a Sherry tasting. Will Scott was playing the guitar acoustically which created a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant as we ate our mixed tapas starters and I then enjoyed a delicious paella. My husband had a steak - his third of the week but by far the most tasty he said. Our room was so comfortable we all slept like babies and then really enjoyed a full english the next morning. I would HIGHLY recommend a stay here!
