The food was really good however the service was a little lack lustre. The main host was a really nice guy and knew his job, but his staff wasn't upto to his level. The drink service was quite slow and they had ran out of 3 or 4 items which we wanted to eat / drink. We will try again later in the year to see if the service has improved.

Visited The Fighting Cocks with 9 family/friends, from walking through the door when we arrived the friendly greeting from the owner and staff set the atmosphere for the night, you had the feeling that nothing was to much trouble for the staff and that they wanted you to enjoy the experience. We did not feel under any pressure to order food as you do in some establishments. When the order was taken from the extensive menu it was only a short time until the food was served with everyone receiving their food at the same time which was well presented and hot. The food itself was a dining experience in itself with every dish presented being of good quality and full of flavour. Thank you to all staff for an enjoyable experience see you again soon.

Brilliant place with friendly staff. We've been there to celebrate my son's birthday on Sunday, the staff were really nice and made everything to make this birthday perfect. The head waiter Turgo was extremely helpful and present all the time. All the dishes came at the same time, the starters are big enough to be used as mains and the desserts we had were just perfect to finish our meal. Totally recommend the place

The food was good, as usual, but the service was shocking. We had booked a table for 7.30 but weren't seated until 8.15, despite asking twice and we weren't served until 9.00. The waiters were pleasant but there clearly was not enough staff to allow them to do their job competently. They barely had time to speak to us and they were nowhere to be seen when we wanted to order more drinks. I shan't be returning until the staffing problems are sorted out.
