An excellent lunch today. We started with a shared whitebait dish, lovely just the right amount of spice and coating. I had battered haddock, hubby had loin of pork (accompanied by a steak knife, nice not to ask for one!) Nice hot plates, and hot food, fabulous! Decor good, seating nicely spaced seating. Top rate, would definitely recommend 'The Travellers Rest'.

Recently reopened and is offering reduction on food prices Monday to Wednesday. Nice venue and well refurbished, quite a pricey menu but with the reduction it turned out to be really good value, not sure I'd pay full whack. Couple of nice ales on draught and wines & gin range etc seemed good also. Staff very friendly albeit seemed to still be getting themselves organised. Good parking and good access in/ out of building.

Just had a meal at The Travellers Rest tonight. The meal was delicious and served by friendly staff for who nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely revisit this place again and would recommend to anyone to have a meal there. You won't be disappointed.

We went here on a Sunday it was a limited menu.. only roast dinner... tomato pasta... or fish & chips.. the food was good... but the plates were cold & we had to ask for condiments.. & we did wait quite a while for food... the place is lovely . Very cosy & the staff really friendly

This place has been under new management numerous times over the last couple of years. The dishes are a lot more upmarket, but that also means the prices are too. We just had the mains, which were very good. I had steak & chips. The steak was cooked to my liking. Decent sized portions too. The wait for the food wasn't too bad. Staff were friendly enough.
