Amazing pub-restaurant, we sat at the captain's table, the braised beef wellington was a solid 8/10 I will definitely have that again, it could have done will something between the pastry and the meat and the pastry could have been better but I am just being picky. I would have put 4.9 out of 5 cause they charged me £2 for some extra gravy. Service was great it was very clean and it has a car park. Thanks for a great lunch

First visit to the pub after being recommended. Ate here using the eat out to help out scheme. Service was great ! And the food was really nice But the food could have been hotter -It was only warm and the table was horrendously sticky!! We had to put our serviettes on the table to lean on and they stuck fast !!! Probably wouldn’t go again because of the tables but nice food and service. Maybe something that could be sorted.

Best meal in the whole if August for us. Service food and setting perfect. Love The Eagle too but definitely our new favourite place X thank you

New decor has blocked out the view of the marshes and penine hills, the most attractive reason for eating here. Menu this time was not appealing to my grandmother and limited options for myself as a vegetarian. That said the quality of food we did order was fine. Overall for the prices I'd rather spend the same amount elsewhere with the views and food choices.

Lovely little pub excellent food, very rdog friendly , staff helpful and really friendly, would recommend and will be going back after lock down
