Our experience was average to be honest but you're getting a 5* for the really bonny lass who excelled at being customer friendly for me and my girlfriend when we visited. I can't remember her name. She was a blonde girl with braces I think. She's a credit to your pub. Great service during frustraring times for dining out. Thanks.

Manager and all staff really friendly. Social distancing and cleanliness were top notch. Really well organised. We felt really relaxed, it was so nice to go back in a pub. Food was great, I recommend the fish and chips. We will definitely be back

Track and trace is a bit hit and miss: was greeted at the door and asked for my name but no phone number, which seemed a bit pointless taking only my name! The guy showed us to a table, but not told about how to order; whether somebody will come to us, whether we had to download an app, whether we went to the bar, very poor service. After waiting a few mins, we saw someone order at the bar, so I went to the bar, and on asking for a menu, one was indeed handed over-tho not sure how many other people had handled the same menu-again, not very good 😕 We waited nearly 30mins for our meals, and it was far from busy! When they arrived, the steak and ale pie was very good, and my slow cooked beef brisket was lovely, but.... the mash had obviously been reheated as it had a skin on the outside, and wasn't very soft on the inside, and there was nowhere near enough peppercorn sauce! I asked for, and was given more sauce, which remedied this. So despite the short commings (and there were quite a few), we did enjoy our meal, but the experience could've been sooo much better.

The 2 Stars are for the service for the waiter and the person who seated us. They couldn't be faulted 1 bit. The food however was really below par. Not only did we have 2 change our order twice because stuff wasn't available after we had to order via the app which stated it was available when clearly it wasn't. Then I found a little bit of plastic in food. Safe to say I won't be going again. Shame really as staff were great

Service not so good. Bar staff trying to over charge on drinks( charging for wrong drinks ) food not as good as it was last year when I visited the pub then. Pub gone to look old and needs a good revamp.
