Friendly staff and cosy pub. However, most of the food was pretty bad. I had the fish & chips thinking it would be a safe option. The fish was the kind you’d buy frozen from Asda. The chips were bland too. My partner had the lasagna which was much better, but it came with the bland chips. We then had the “hot” chocolate pudding with ice cream. The pudding was cold and stale. The ice cream wasn’t great either. I’m only giving 4 stars as the staff were friendly and it must be tough during these times. But I hope they put more effort into their food, especially as it’s the only thing we’re allowed to buy at the moment!

Very friendly welcome lovely people. Sat in the garden and had a pint with our two dogs. Great cheesy chips too.

Great place for a group weekend. We are 7 people and were looking for a base to go walking. Beds are comfortable and showers hot. It was out of season (end of Jan) so we got a really good deal. Beer is great also!

Charming rural pub with a warm welcome and excellent beers on tap. We ordered a couple of bowls of chips to share and they hit the spot. Great beer garden!

On arrival the place was reasonable, nothing extravagant but pleasant enough, ordered food, watched from the garden into the kitchen window the tossing up between the microwave and the fryer, but wasn't fussed as needed grub, both meals arrived the casserole was standard, the veg was soggy and from a packet and the battered cod looked great until I tried it and it was still cold in the middle, without a fuss told the landlady kindly offered a replacement of anything other than cod as they had ran out,,fair enough but my partner was half way into a meal by this time so I opted for a bowl of chips, i waoted and waited he then had finished his meal and pint , I went to the bar, to say i wasnt waiting any longer and id just have a refund for my returned meal she said they had other meals to cook before my chips could come out, she then said I could only have half my money back as i eaten some of the food !! Without a fuss I accepted nothing less than a full refund.. Not a great attitude from the bar lady ... disappointed !!!
