For over 10 years we were regular diners here.The last 2 or 3 visits have been very disappointing due to the food or staff. On my last visit I was told that because of the limited number of staff they were trying for their own ease to keep everyone together in a small area near the kitchen. That not a nice area of the pub. When I said I preferred to sit in the raised area I was told I could only sit on the extreme end of it, again for there ease. We left without eating, it will be a long time before my next visit.

After calling ahead to ensure food would be served at the pub, we were promised the kitchen shut at 21:15. We arrived promptly at 20:55 to be told the kitchen was shut from 21:00, so we couldn’t order, despite being before both advised times. The staff were unhelpful and fairly abrupt, not what we needed after a 200mile bike ride to make it to the venue.

Cheap and cheerful. Been to other pubs in the chain and non of them do it as well as this place. App a little limited as cant specify changes to orders but overall does the job nicely. Great for kids.

Had a fantastic mixed grill last week and a chicken tikka marsala this week. Both were excellent and the service friendly and didnt wait long for food arrival either time. Will definitely be back.

Good food, good covid precautions. Ordering could be less complicated. Was told app only but other people were ordering and paying by card, which is much simpler when just re ordering coffee.
