Me and my GF stopped here for a meal on our way home from a day out and it was lovely. She had steak and I had fish. We where both impressed with the food and if we're ever in the area again we'll pop in for some grub. Thanks guys

Wow. Just had the best gammon ever. Great service. Friendly staff and good ales. Thank you will call again

This is a lovely pub in a lovely setting which has recently been taken over. Although the food was good, the menu didn't offer a lot of choice as the chef is still being trained. I had a pudding and they are always fantastic as the same person has been making them for years. I hope that the next time we go the menu will have been developed and that they will have a sandwich type menu too.

Was welcomed and we chose to sit outside. Everything was going very well, children enjoying playing on the grass then the food arrived. Mine was beautiful looking but was barely warm..the fish was cooked perfectly but I'm sure the mash wasn't homemade. My poached egg was rather over cooked. I ate it, as it did taste rather nice. But one child's meal was a disaster. Burger meal - the bun had been put in the toaster, not just lightly toasted on one side but literally well done toasted bun. The actually burger was a disgrace, I can only describe it as being mincemeat patted together to try and make a burger shape then placed on the bun. Inevitably you cut into it and it was like a plate of mince. I wouldn't let him eat it, other child's meal of sausage and mash as was described and was eaten well. Garlic bread was cooked to perfection. At no point did anyone come and ask us how our meal was, it was empty inside. To be fair I could have gone to complain, but honestly I felt rather embarrassed at the thought of them trying to justify why that went so wrong. Seems such a shame with the food as parts were good, but the bad parts were really bad. Wouldn't visit again tbh when there are others offering food to a much better standard in the area.
