Site ok. 25 minute walk to Clitheroe town centre. Pub next to site but gets very busy as a local. Shower/Toilet facilities are clean .. warm water and area is well kept but closed for cleaning at prime shower/ wake up time! So, make sure you set your alarm an hour early if you think you’ll need a wee in the morning! Prices are very confusion. It’s not a PP price list most places. What our group of friends thought would be a cheap stay for couples turned into very expensive as their tent was 6 man they had to pay for 6 people (4 of which didn’t exist) we had a 4 man tent so had to pay for an extra two people. One member of staff is very rude. No eye contact when checking us in. Just told us what we owe and our pitch number.. when we asked her for directions she simply said “look right, you can’t miss it” without even looking up from her computer. On photos the lawn looks well kept but the grass was very long on arrival. Further after arriving from a long journey, we finally sat down to relax and a woman on a large lawn mower came cutting around our tent.. bad timing. Overall OK site for a weekend. Quiet area. Nothing for kids as games area closed but there’s a park on the next camping site 15 Minutes away. Will probably return with a much smaller tent to make sure we’re not paying for imaginary people.

Lots of effort has gone into this campsite enabling it to open during covid. Felt completely safe and relaxed. The ladies shower facilities were great and a good idea with the occupancy sign! The water and waste areas have hand sanitizer, all these touches make all the difference! Lovely little campsite and will be returning shortly!
