Spent a day in the CCU recently, the nursing staff were really good and helpful. Treated promptly by the doctors and able to be discharged the same day.

If the NHS had its problems before March this year, it's become a beyond a joke now. I had an appointment with a specialist doctor which I'd booked about ten weeks ago. I booked a day off work so as not to lose pay. Then, I receive a voicemail within less than a week of the appointment saying, without explanation, that it'll only be a phone appointment. The Doctor has taken it upon herself to cancel the appointment in that was supposed to be in person at Blackburn hospital. I'm left wondering how much a doctor can assess their patients health over the phone. Yesterday I also received a text message saying that the specific appointment time is just a vague idea now, as the Doctor will call me either side of the arranged time within a two hour window. It's a good job I didn't bother cancelling my holiday then. But you have to wonder, what sort of business and service can survive when it treats its customers this way? The answer is, it can't and won't survive. Eventually the NHS will be a thing of the past at this rate, and we'll all be both better and worse off for it in varying degrees.

As useless as practically every other NHS hospital. Rude and lousy staff that take their time doing everything, nothing is ever urgent or resolved in a prompt manner. Back in March I had severe bacterial tonsillitis and was admitted after two visits to a&e. Before I was actually told it was bacterial tonsillitis, I had to ask numerous times what was wrong with me and how bad was my situation, I also had to ask how my bloods looked after they were tested. Why am I not just told these things anyway?????? It's my body and I have a right to be told as and when things are known.

Visited for a COVID-19 test, organised brilliantly. Made simple on how to enter, test and exit. Spoke to me with the window closed via a mobile phone number that I had to call. They even offered help on what to do once the test was done.
