This place is such a nice family day out or holiday! It is ideal for all ages and people, old or young, disabled or fine it is perfect. There are no water slides, but what I really like is that the swimming places are more nature like. You can swim, grill, eat, camp and pretty much anything you want! Workers also really nice
Great day out, gets really busy. So much for kids to do.
Really good family campsite. Not too big and very safe in terms of cars around etc. Cafe on site , basic but does the job for kids meals , coffees etc. Plenty to do in the daytime ; great playground , beach /shallow water etc. 30 min walk into the town where there are pubs/shops (bus available we found out after wards ! )
Only negative point is that the septic tank didn’t smell great ! But it’s far enough away from the pitches not to be a big problem. Will definitely be returning next year !
Little one loved it although car park is expensive £3 per hour
second visit to the campsite. Staff are good, wash facilities are good and cleaned regularly. Nice open spaces, swimming lake, fishing lake. You can BBQ but not directly on the ground. some electric hook ups available. Museum close by but lots of water sports on site as well as cafe, shop, mini golf and more. We had a great time, fishing seemed ok. caught one and lost one fishing luncheon meat towards middle of lake at back end but floating bait on a hot day may be a good option. One draw back - the wasps, then more wasps then another bucket load......
