An unbelievably small pub with proper beer. Friendly, just as well, the only way to be more than 12 feet (estimated I obviously didn't measure it!) from another customer is to be the only customer. It's been there about 3 years but this was the first time I ventured in. Main "drawback", I ended up staying much longer than I intended. I will be back.

Staying at nearby caravan site and came into Melton on Thursday (before Gas Tap opening hours) pub looked interesting so decided to come back on Sunday as chalkboard indicated it would be open at 1pm, got there for 1pm but no sign of it opening, came back an hour later but still not open. Very disappointed.

Great place. Brilliant real beers . Friendly atmosphere. Just watch out for the land Lord I swear he keeps looking at my butt!! 😂
