Good beer in a nice beer garden. Very pleasant traditional interior.

It's well hidden - no website, no car park, middle of nowhere, cash only, closed on Monday, but it does have a sign... And it's great. Very friendly. Proper beer. Food from around 1830 to 2030. (The gammon was actually the best I've ever had). But don't spoil it by descending on it all at once. There's only room for about 25 anyway.

Visited here yesterday lunchtime for 1st time. Very good lunch. Friendly landlord. Will return here every time we are in that area again. A little gem!

Had a very lovely meal there tonight. I had steak and ale pie and my other half had chicken curry. Both meals were piping hot and delicious. Will be going there again before going home.
