Ramada by Wyndham Loughborough Hotel

Staff are amazing. Will help with anything and very accommodating. However, the rooms are WAY over priced. Wall paper hanging off the walls, ripped curtains, bed sheets that don't fit properly, single pain windows that don't close properly so the rooms are freezing. No air con just a really old central heating system you have no control over. Smashed windows in the corridoors covered with paper and cellotape. The whole place is in desperate need of updating. Will never be returning.

After bad experience with first room as it was not clean we were upgraded. But feel covid is not a reason to not clean rooms. If correct sanitising products are being used, then at least the bathroom can be cleaned. This obviously does not happen in normal circumstances as the amount of descaling required in the toilets and around taps is a serious issue. No meals being provided, yet other places are offering this service. Just because it is 3 star does not mean standards cannot be maintained. As you walk through the car park you see function rooms to the left. The state of the curtains is disgusting. Ragged and stained. This hotel really could have a better feel about it.

Solid budget hotel option. Clean, but a little shabby. Helpful and polite staff. Had problems with the hot water but eventually got it to work, my friend in a separate room also had hot water issues.

Recently stayed 2 nights for a friends civil ceremony. Yes the rooms could do with a little upgrade but they were not so terrible as you could not stay there and they were comfortable and mine was very spacious. The staff could not have been any more helpful. I was helping out with setting up the room for after the ceremony and the staff were continuously polite and eager to help. We even had to call a member to one room as the heating was set to high, there was no hesitation or complaint. A member of staff attended the room quickly and resolved the issue. The reception food was lovely and staff very attentive and patient to our needs, without being overbearing or a constant presence throughout the day. We were left to enjoy the event at the appropriate points and staff were only present when the need arose (serving food and drinks) or when requested. Breakfast on both mornings was enjoyable. Again staff on hand to assist, brought tea, coffee and milk direct to our table, and were quick to notice when food needed replenishing on hot plate/dish. We had a member of our party who is vegetarian and the staff saw no issue in providing alternatives to the usual breakfast meats. (Even providing a second plate when the first was accidentally dropped, with no impatience or judgement) Overall I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and would recommend to anyone. High recognition to the entire staff needs to be given, you were all amazing. Thank you 😊
