Lovely staff really friendly and helpful. Loved the food! I came here with my parents who were visiting for the day who also really enjoyed it and we have all said that we would love to come back again. Would highly recommend this place for a bite to eat and will definitely be coming back again!

Disappointing stay. We were expecting a lot more from previous reviews. Liked · Room was a fair size. The Grounds are spacious and kept well. about 15-20 minutes walk into the village of Watton where you will find a couple of good pubs for food and drink. Disliked · We stayed in the Aintree room in the coach house. The room was good size. Bed frame was OK, but the mattress had really seen better days. It was a Real roll together mattress! Breakfast was slow to arrive, and then the hash-browns were still stone cold inside. Mushroom and tomato were soaked in oil/fat and the egg was still partly translucent white. There was never any staff in the restaurant to assist, which meant simple things like jam for the toast, salt and pepper became a real problem to get. I would have expected there to be one member of staff floating between the two rooms and reception to take queries and assist people. I get the impression they were struggling to handle the requests for breakfast, although there was only only approx 10 other people at breakfast at the time we were (9 am)

Nice looking place, just a bit tired looking all round. Food nice but beef wellington not cooked very well. Clearly bought in, but didn't follow the cooking guidelines. Pastry underneath uncooked. Left most of it on my plate and when asked why, just met with silence! Service very friendly and pleasant. Remainder of the food was very good but not good enough for a return trip. £22 for poorly cooked main course was a let down.

Absolutely brilliant find. The food is exceptional and the staff are extremely friendly. It's a beautiful country hotel in an idyllic setting with fine dining options in the restaurant, prepared and cooked expertly. The steak was extremely good quality as were the tapas style starters off of the bar menu. To top it off they are also dog friendly which was a surprise for the quality of the restaurant.
