Very limited menu. 3 options each for starter main and desert. 2 of which kids generally won't like so not very child friendly. And 2 of those weren't available (lasagne or any burger) I ordered popcorn chicken with spicey mayo. Very nice. Took an hour to come out mind. Tuna for main. Again the tast was great. But tuna steak was cold and chips were hard. All of the chips served were hard to be fair. My kids didn't eat them which is rare. My wife's steak was cold (again with hard chips) and had to ask for a steak knife as the waitress dumped the food on our table and ran off. My kids fish was OK if not a bit bland. No check backs at any point of either course and waitresses seemed like they didn't want to be here. Reasonably priced if the food was on par but it really wasn't. Even with 'eat out to help out' I feel ripped off Just before leaving steak was off the menu too Won't be returning Doesnt seem to be any covid measures other than a sign saying dont stand at the bar

Friendly and welcoming pub. Good food and lively atmosphere. Great beer too! Under new management in 2020.

Aug 2019 Awesome staff, good food. - Note Aug 2020, under new management, menu not as extensive as last year - no puddings! Food was ok, but disappointed that there was no ketchup for my youngest son & my mom's mushy peas with her scampi was no more than a teaspoon, certainly not what you would call a portion.

Always enjoy visits to this pub. Great food, friendly and great location. Built by my 4 x Great Grandfather Robert George in 1815. Look out for the stone plaque above the entrance with his initials and the date 1815. The Ship Inn stayed in his family for the next 150 years.

Great food at The Ship Inn. I had the tuna steak and it was one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. So tasty and nicely cooked. Also the pub was well laid out for social distancing and the staff were good at keeping their distance. We walked from Seashore Holiday park. Nice 20 min walk across the sand dunes.
