Breydon Water Holiday Park

2nd time here. 1st was summer 2017. Kids loved it just as much. We preferred the caravan this time to last, but which one you get allocated is pot luck. We thought the entertainment was less engaging this time round, kids still enjoyed it though.

Nice park with lots of facilities, loads of space and local shops and take aways near by. The indoor pool is a little small for everyone to use at once so book in advance and the bike hire and golf are nice and affordable.

Once you've booked into a caravan, you turn up to the caravan and it is left unlocked for you and your key and welcome pack is inside. Our pack had someone else's name on it with not enough passes, so we were thinking have we got the right caravan/is it double booked? We got the extra passes from reception no problem. When you book you have an account where you can book activities, so we booked a few before arriving at the resort. Unfortunately when we arrived and was checking our first swimming session we found that they have no record of us booking anything and there is a problem with our account where we can't book anything. Many of the activities we booked were now booked up so we can't book ourselves in, however as people book and don't turn up we managed to get in the swimming pool. We also booked onto a cricket session, arrived there only to find there is no staff member doing it. They gave us the cricket equipment and the 4 of us had a play on our own. The restaurant. You have to download an app and order your food and drinks on that. After a while our food came, still no drinks, mentioned that to the guy who brought the food but I'd eaten my dinner and the wife and kids half way through theirs when we decided we have to go up to the bar and ask what happened to our drinks. We only arrived yesterday evening and already so many things to pick fault with. It seems they can't organise a piss up in a brewery. So far I've given it 3 star because I don't dislike it enough for 2 stars, and it is a nice site, caravan is clean and the problems do get sorted one way or another but can't give it more just yet due to the frustrations. We have the rest of the week yet so let's see if it improves...

I had a great time on holiday here and there were no issues and the site is well looked after and my accommodation was nice and clean.

The 3 bed homes in Romans parade (Row E) were new, comfy and well equipped. We booked the swimming slots which was easy. A session is around 45 mins. Changing facilities were available but only at the end of the session. Floats and other play equipment were not available due to Covid, so check if you want to bring your own.
