It was a late birthday tea because of covid. I have had better. The bread was dry and you could tell the sandwiches were not made fresh. The same was for the cakes. It was OK but I won't go again

While the staff on the front desk are friendly and polite the guy delivering breakfast as room service seems to thinks he is an alarm clock and has so far spent the last 40inns banging hard on doors and shouting room service preventing anyone who needs sleep the opertunity. The hovers don't seem to reach the edges fully so there is a nice pinstripe of dust around the walls on the floors. Let's not even get started on the self check in machine.... Nice idea and kind of works but an awfull experience. The showers don't seem to have any pressure and the extractor fans are the loudest I have ever heard. On the flip side the car park has many spaces.

We went to the restaurant for a 2 course groupon dinner for 2 with glass of wine. We were served and looked after by a very professional, caring and friendly waitress. The restaurant was very covid secure with handgel provided as you went in and socially distanced seating. The food was good especially the deserts which were incredible and the wine very good too. The only thing negative thing was the glasses were covered in fluff from a drying up towel but I cleaned them myself with my napkin.

When we checked in the booking said 3 adults we had booked 2 adults one child. When we got to the room no extra bed for my 7 year old. We were informed on booking.com you need to request this... never had to before is that not why you are asked for the child’s age so they can do the homework we pay for the room not to arrange logistics for them?? When we pushed the bed aside to accommodate the child’s bed there was a film of dirt and dust and tablets??? We were informed they would hoover this up inform housekeeping and put in a twin rooms bed as extra which we had suggested not offered??? Really??? Common sense we then were offered complimentary drinks which was good but given the current climate didn’t give me faith to the cleanliness of where we were staying or the want eat breakfast the following morning?? Wouldn’t stay again 2 star travel lodge springs to mind not god
