Disappointing. Have eaten here several times here and at the foundry and the meals were poor compared to previous occasions. Service was poor. We were being asked what we wanted to order before we had even sat down and even more annoying the waitress who kept calling me my darling etc. My fish and chip meal appeared identical to a frozen meal from a supermarket and was poor value and poor quality in that it was watery and of little flavour.The cottage pie was again very watery and of little flavour. The baked chilli cod was ok although presentation was without vision. Beer was OK but expensive compared to my local not far away. Dessert wise the crumble was watery ,the chocolate fudge cake very low end quality. The rice pudding apparently was very good. I appreciate these are difficult times but I am unlikely now to recommend without reservation in the future. A better experience is very readily available elsewhere

Lovely place to eat, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Offered great a vegan menu also the vegan desert was excellent.

Take away fish and chips was pretty good. Limited menu but there doing a good job.

Quick stop for a pint (helpfully served in plastic glasses so you can enjoy on village green)
