Unfortunately the Cornish closed down in 2019. The food here was excellent. Only fresh veg used and the steaks to die for. Much missed by the locals of Burry Port and Pembrey. No possibility of it reopening.

I visited Bury Port in Wales on a day trip pleasant place nice big beach no big ships at least I didnt see any. But the sea air whipped up my appetite and looking for somewhere to eat I found The Cornish Arms pub. As pubs go not a lot to go on the outside. But inside cosy comfortable nice friendly staff and some delicious food hot and well cooked reasonable prices too. Full range of drinks. If you're in the area or passing through feeling hungry give this place a try.

Food seemed to be pretty average in quality and texture. I found that it was quite confusing trying to get into the pub itself. The toilets were isolated into cabins. The restaurant itself was pretty cold. The staff seemed to be fairly eager to get the customers out.

My wife and I went for dinner (02/07/17) my wife had surf and turf I had the Cornish mixed grill. We can honestly say it was the best food we have both ever had in a pub period. Massive portions (not just that though, quality food) the steaks were cooked to perfection (medium) and the gammon, etc just delicious. We liked the fact the chef bought our meals out. Really nice ambiance and the waitress was also really friendly and welcoming. I absolutely recommend this place if you like good food then this is definitely a must stop at venue. Enjoy.

Had a lovely meal out for our anniversary, my husband had curry half and half and I had vegetarian lasagne which came with a lovely salad,peas and 3 slices of garlic bread, nicest lasagne I've ever had, bursting with flavour. The chips were very tasty too. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, very quiet as it was on a Tuesday, plenty of room. Would definitely visit again.
