Beautiful spot and lovely owners. Next best thing to wild camping. Peaceful and quiet with gorgeous views. Perfect for our canoe trip. Yvonne and Richard were very helpful and great to chat to. I would definitely stay here again. Our group of 12 were looked after and welcomed warmly! Thank you!!

We had a great Bank Holiday weekend here. Kids loved it and we all felt it was a total escape from everything. It's a beautiful site, right on the banks of the Wye. We swam every day in the river. There were incredible sunsets, starry night skies and a fire every night. Wonderful! We had read that the wood you buy for your fire was pretty small but for £10 we had a wheelbarrow full of kindling and logs which was more than enough!! The facilities are basically a portaloo, a tap for drinking water and a tap for doing your washing up. Don't expect a shower or anywhere to charge your phone. But we coped for 5 days and although we were pretty smelly by the end we LOVED it!!

A group of us stopped here during a canoeing trip on the river Wye and it was the perfect spot for the night. Yvonne and Richard, who run the site are friendly and accommodating, all too happy to help. The Campsite offers a really great experience for those looking for a wilder time, as pitches are kept at a distance from one and other, so its nice and spacious. Being able to have a campfire which we cooked on, was such a great touch and jumping in the river for a chilly morning swim was the cherry on the cake. All in all the experience was exactly what I want from a campsite.

We had a wonderful time here! The setting right by the river is idyllic, so much wildlife to observe and enjoy. The facilities are basic, but that suited us really well. There is lots of space and it is so peaceful and quiet at night. The owners are lovely, helpful and kind. I'd highly recommend a few nights here to re-set.

Great experience. Very basic facilities but Yvonne was incredibly welcoming and accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure we got off the river and got warming ourselves around the camp fire as soon as possible. Great for a stay over while paddling down the Wye or travelling through Herefordshire. One of the only camp sites we found that allowed a camp fire.
