We stayed at the Lister Arms after our trip in the Lake District and we are glad we dropped by. It was a wonderful stay with such friendly staff who were respecting by the social distancing without it feeling too weird. The bedroom was cosy and clean too. One of the highlights is the stream that runs next to the Lister Arms, such a calming feature.

Great location and a lovely stay. The room and facilities were great. The food was exceptional but what really made the stay was the staff. From the moment we arrived until we left they were great, attentive without being intrusive, friendly whilst being professional. I would happily stay here again!

The Lister Arms is such a treat. The staff make you feel very welcome and they were great at all social distancing rules but in a way that didn't feel uncomfortable or difficult. The food was just superb, really lovely, home cooked meals. Well above average for pub food. The sitting out area is lovely too. Highly recommended!

Called here for lunch on a chilly October day. Really careful regarding Covid precautions, and we felt totally safe inside. We enjoyed delicious home-made pies, in warm and cosy surroundings. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and even gave some home-made biscuits for our dog.
