We spent three days in Carlton Barns. The rooms are lovely! Denise and David are wonderful people. The breakfasts are unforgettable! From there we made fantastic excursions. I recommend this quiet and cozy accommodation!!!!!!

Cracking B&B. Four of us stayed overnight in Sept 2014 and the rooms were very nice. Extremely friendly hosts and the breakfast in their lovely home in the morning was brilliant. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Denise and David are the most welcoming owners. A fabulous place to stay, the breakfasts are all home made to order and are truly delicious! You won't regret staying here, a little bit more than your average b n b! We will definitely return when next in Thirsk.

We had an absolutely delightful time staying at the Carlton Barns B&B on Feb 24th and 25th this year. The owners, Denise and David (and their little puppy, Gertie) are such wonderful, friendly, and warm hosts. We stayed at the ‘Wash House’ room which had king sized double bed. The room, bed, and bathroom/shower were very clean, cozy, and super comfortable. We very much enjoyed the delicious eggs and sausages, from the local farms, served for breakfast. We had the opportunity to join Denise and David and some of the Sandhutton village residents at the Kings Arms Pub (a very short walk from the Carlton Barns B&B) for a ‘quiz night’ gathering. We had a great time surrounded by friendly and fun group of people that night. We highly recommend staying at the Carlton Barns B&B if you are looking for real British warmth and welcoming souls!
