Recently just had a 1 night stay at the hillside it was a great find. Our pitch was very large and the distance from the next pitch was massive. we were meant to be staying on a pitch in the middle of another part of the park which might have been less private but when we got there they had switched us which was excellent defiantly will return. Also noticed they had toilet waste drainage on some pitches which I havnt seen before another good idea
This is our 4 year year at Hillside and again it was excellent, no toilet blocks open but we were able to survive with our own facilities.
Fantastic site, very peaceful and surrounded by lovely countryside. There are walks through the on site fields which are great. My kids loved it here and it is well located for York, Durham and Whitby.
Beautiful place, friendly staff. We stayed during the covid outbreak and their facilities were closed, therefore I can't comment on them. If they are as well looked after as the rest of the site I'm sure they are good.
If tranquility is what you are after book sites 30-40 very well kept staff atmre extremely courteous,short walks for dogs onside 10 minutes from Thirks. Will definitely return.
