Hotel NR2

There was a mix up with the rooms as we were given a very small room with little leg room. However this was resolved soon after we complained to the receptionist on duty, We were relocated to a more condusive room in another room. Parking was safe and spacious.

it is a good location to town centre of Norwich but the management needs to improve on the state in the outer part of the hotel.

Price good get whot you pay for

Me and my girlfriend arrived in the evening and discovered that for the privilege to park your car at the hotel you are sleeping in you need to pay extra. Went to reception and check in was very simple, got handed our key card and a couple remote controls. Our room had the window wide open so the room was freezing cold, it was mid-late feb. There was an electric heater that can only be run if your key card was inserted. We had it running constantly when we were there and never got warm. The bathroom had a broken toilet seat which was barely hanging on, and there was no soap for washing hands. It stank of sewage, which was probably why the window was open but didn't hotel didn't treat the source so smell continued. Room floor was very basic, had a few stains. Room said it provided kettle, microwave, fridge as a little kitchenette. Didn't use the microwave so don't know what state it was in but kettle worked as did fridge. BUT, no mugs/spoons/plates/any utensil provided so hope you like boiling water in your hands as that is the only way to get a cup of tea. Lacks plugs only enough for the "kitchenette" nothing else, but not a massive problem for myself and gf just needed 2 for phones and weren't using the kettle & microwave at night. When we slept, bed was okay but the pillows were pancakes, even when doubled over they didn't offer much support. Oh also your key card needs to be "reset" everyday at 10am to get back into your room. Wasn't told this at all at check in. NR2 is great for location and is cheap for a reason. Wouldn't recommend as an enjoyable experience but one of necessity.

Wish read reviews before paying 50 pound for ridiculous double room for one night. It's not worth more than 10 pound that place and I couldn't even stay there to sleep, left that hotel same night. Under mattress have found glass shards and some other rubbish stuff. Absolutely not safe to sleep there because of hygiene. Better pay few poundd more for better and proper place to stay!
