Brilliant relaxing site.
Toilet blocks are back to pristine condition. Thanks Liz and Bob.
Fab little caravan park, not too big or too small. A well equipped playground and ball sports are for children and no rowdy clubhouse. Nicely located for cycling and site seeing. Peaceful to boot.
I have given a star because of the great location of this site. Easy walk in to Ripley and close proximity to Harrogate Ripon Fountains Abbey. That’s where the good reviews stop.
We arrived after booking a serviced pitch to find the site had made an error and there was another van on our allocated pitch. We were then put on a gravel hard standing which was surrounded on 4 sides by grass so a muddy wet walk across to van. We were amongst seasonal pitches and although people said hello we felt very much like we were intruding.
The site itself is very cramped with very little space between pitches. It’s popular with families with +++ children especially teenagers who ride bikes in groups with little respect for other road users on site. The 10pm noise curfew was not followed. Groups of people were heard in awnings until midnight and beyond. Social distancing was a joke !!
We won’t be returning
Fantastic weekend here camping in the van. The facilities were limited obviously due to Covid-19, however we really enjoyed it.
Facilities were immaculate and the grounds just the same.
Chippy van came at 5pm on Saturday so unexpectedly had fish and chips.
Great walks round and about. We will be back soon.
Beautiful place! Spotlessly clean everywhere, only rang up last minute for one nights stay and so very friendly and accommodating people. We will be back even though we only live in York it's a lovely peaceful break.
Loved the baby ducks, coots, and moorhen babys, us and dogs watched for ages, dogs maybe had an ulterior motive ha ha.
Thank you!
