Great site, lovely friendly people. Great walks around the river into thirsk especially with the dog.. we'll definitely be back. X

A lovely basic site with plenty of space for 5 motorhomes or caravans. The field is beautifully kept. The view across the fields are lovely and peaceful. There were bunnies hopping around when we arrived! However, not sure if it's the norm but the smell was horrendous - far worse than any farm smell I've encountered before. There were pigs squealing in a barn right beside us. They quietened down quite abruptly. I was concerned that it might be an abbatoir. Its a real shame because the owner, Judy was so lovely and welcoming but the squealing and the smell make me reluctant to return.

Really lovely outlook, with sheep roaming the fields. Only trouble with this campsite it has no toilet. It is ideal for town centre & race course. Lovely friendly local pub, which has a restaurant reasonable prices & delicious food.
