Beautiful. Location is rural. YHA is very friendly and helpful. Lots to see and do.
Talking to mother about the war ... her three siblings were evacuated here during the war . The game keeper and his wife had to look after them... happy memories for them
I stayed here for one night on a stopover with friends, during a coast to coast bike ride. This place is amazing, with views to die for. Very clean and comfortable bunkhouse style rooms, several shared shower rooms and toilets.
Food is available with a full breakfast for very little money a great way to fill up before riding on. For those cycling, a secure lock up is available (take your own locks as it is a shared lock up). Locally there are several pubs and restaurants if you fancy a good evening meal.
Super location, great facilities and very friendly staff. I had a very comfortable stay in one of their wooden camping pods. Great value for money and the hostel was also dog friendly. I met some lovely people and I'm looking forward to coming back. Lovely part of the Country.
Facilities were great and my room is very warm in this cold weather
