Although we visited whilst in tier 2, not much soul. Was a bit cold and music too loud.
Good OK and staff very pleasant.
Food was very good and so was the pub, all the normal covid stuff.
Great dog-friendly inn and pub with warm, helpful staff. They are also taking Covid-19 seriously and their precautions made us feel safe. We can’t wait to return.
just been for a meal. The chips were good but the rest of our experience was very poor. There was a nod towards social distancing but nothing was enforced. I did not have to give my contact details. In the queue for the bar i could have held hands with the person either side of me. I did not feel safe at all at this pub I have at others. The food was poor apart from the chips. Over done steak and deep fried fish fingers. The music was very load and contained songs full of obesenities early in the evening when young children were present. I really hope this was a bad night for the pub as I know it has been tough for the hospitality industry. Other places have adapted well this one needs a lot of work.
Daughter on a visit home had never been to Reeth so we took her on a day out. Having previously eaten at the other 2 pubs ( no complaints at all ) we thought this should be due a try. With the covid business we decided to book a table for 1pm to be on the safe side. When we got there we were the only ones in, but it did get busier before we left. We had 2 dogs with us, quite a surprise to see a large bowl of biscuits & cold cuts brought out to them, along with a water bowl. So glad we decided on the smaller meal portions as they were larger than expected and quite filling. I would have given it 4 stars but for the fact that the chips had skins on, which I hate. Mrs F. likes them that way, it's just a matter of preference, but I would rather have had the choice. The pub has quirky & amusing signs all over the place, which I note a previous reviewer wasn't keen on, but we liked. Would go again, but not have chips.
