Great campsite suitable for tents, caravans & motorhomes located in the small village of Slingsby in North Yorkshire. The facility block is open with a one way system during the current pandemic whereas many other sites have had to close them. Finally the wardens are very friendly & I would definitely visit again.
We love this site. It is quite small and because of the Covid restrictions had reduced plots available, but as always the shower and toilet facilities were excellent with a one way system operating.The wardens are helpful and friendly. With Malton and Pickering close by (both have good markets), only an hour from the coast and Castle Howard just about on the doorstep as well as many other places to see and go to we will definitely be back.
Slingsby is a lovely small site. Even though we haven't been able to go into the reception/shop due to the current pandemic, everything was extremely clear on arrival with instructions as to what to do. The wardens are extremely friendly and helpful.
I have to say we're very impressed at the signage around and about the site plus in the toilet blocks and their one way system in the toilets. It is quite clear that the C&CC have thought this all through very well.
It's quite different from when we visited just over 10 years ago. We were on a pitch at the very far end of the site, as far as it would go and past the sewage works, it was miles from the toilet block and really not a pleasant pitch, it's good to see that area of the site is no longer used.
This is definitely a site I would recommend to everyone.....happy camping and caravanning at Slingsby.
Small site on edge of lovely village. Good facilities, well situated for walking straight of the site. Pub and small shop in village.
So peaceful, a lovely walk for the girls just outside the front gate. Facilities were spotless and the wardens were super friendly and helpful
