Had a lovely stay. The room was modern, comfy and quiet. The food was delicious, the cask ale well kept and wonderful service.
We stayed for 3 nights, felt very Covud safe, the room was basic but very clean, the bathroom was a little dated and the shower had no pressure not enough to wash my hair.
The food in the restaurant was delicious, everything freshly cooked, good prices and portion size. The staff were lovely very friendly.
This was a little gem of a pub! The staff we’re very attentive and efficient from the moment we walked in. Well organised during this current climate with a good table service. Timing between meals was perfect! We we’re served by a young lady who was very pleasant, attentive and very professional during our meal. The food was Fab and a good selection, with a good choice of cask ales as accompaniment. Highly recommended

Staff were very friendly, nice roaring fire, evening meal was really good, all 6 of us really enjoyed our evening meal. bedroom was okay and clean. only let down in the room was the shower, you had to stand under it for about 10 minutes to get wet all over, room 2 new shower required, otherwise a great weekend and would definitely go back
We will recommend the oak wheel, to family and friends.we had a great stay,we where made welcome by all staff,it was as if we where part of the family. all rooms where spotless clean,and the meals were fabulous, nothing was a bother, we will be returning.
