Hmmm it was pleasant enough, nice imposing building and the staff were great. Usual sort of price for a twin room at £80 on par with many other chain hotels. The rooms were dark, but nice enough. But the beds were very hard leading to an uncomfortable night's sleep. So much so that I woke up constantly through the night, and ended up missing my alarm in the morning. The attached restaurant was good and the food was good also, but with a limited menu (not really surprising in these times) The staff were attentive and efficient. In keeping with these times, the food and drink were a touch on the expensive side but tasty and hearty. All in all I wouldn't be upset if I had to return, and may well do soon due to work.

Staff very helpful especially the bar man who also served the food in the restaurant. Cannot praise him enough. He went over and above to help. Food was great.

No water for 24 hours... No apology Be careful at bar as we had double charge for a bill for bar that was for other customers... The member of staff told us that they order from bar and charged to our room. So on our last day we are now arguing it out,now having to get a refund and staff not helpful at all as they was in bar with us and we payed cash... The staff didn't check the people I'd ,who charged to our room. That has No apology... No help at all considering one of the staff lives there.. honestly not professional at all!!! Found bug in bed... check picture WOULD AVOID WOULD GO TO SOMEWHERE WITH BETTER SERVICE.....
