The hotel and associated bar and restaurant is housed in a former police station in which I worked nearly 40 years ago. I didn't stay there but on showing my interest I was given a full tour of the premises which have been open for about 2 years. What is on offer is fully documented on the internet. What I can add to that is that the premises are very smart and clean and a great base for the surrounding area. The bar has a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Some of the old cells are available as small slugs and the exercise yard is an open air food and drinks area for better weather. The restaurant is bistro style and again the menu is available on line. From what I experienced on my limited visit I would recommend the visitor to the area to try it out.

Lovely hotel, quiet, clean comfortable, lovely menu choices for breakfast (didn't eat other meals there so cant comment).
Visiting the cells was a trip down memory lane, as it will be to police/solicitors of a certain era. Nicely done too. Kept up the authenticity.
One downside, parking outside hotel, but plenty of car parking available, reasonably priced close by.
Room was lovely, clean and welcoming. Food was lovely as were the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Very enjoyable stay, thank you, will book again
