Terrific site well maintained with a jolly and unintrusive caretaker.A real chance to be bring young and vulnerable people into nature, out of their comfort zone within a safe and controlled environment.
Used as a Site to host youth camping events such as scouts and brownies. Can be difficult to find, down a narrow dirt road, with limited parking at the end too. Functional main building features dormitory and other activity rooms, plus large outdoor grassed space for camping.
Great guide centre.
Amazing open field and forested areas.
Lovely girl guide campsite. Well stock for guiding holiday.
Plenty of different historical and very interesting items and areas inside this grand building. Well worth visiting while in the Colchester area.
