The first big draw of this superb campsite is obvious from the photos - the location. Into the Sticks is nestled into an idyllic river valley, which has been carefully conserved and rewilded for decades. The rich, mixed habitat makes for an extraordinary diversity of rare animals, insects and flowers, which give the campsite an enchanted feel. The second big draw is the hosts. Jo and Kev are absolutely fantastic, warm and welcoming, and always on hand to suggest an activity or solve a problem. Thirdly, the campsite is extremely comfortable - the limited pitches ensure privacy and seclusion, while the showers and toilets are spotless and modern. Recommendations: if you are travelling by train, let Jo and Kev know as they may be able to pick you up from the station! Make sure to spend time wandering around the meadow and the river - there are hundreds of tiny paths which reveal hidden benches or a patch of wildflowers. Have bonfires - Into the Sticks allows campers to have fires and it's well worth making the most of it!

Beautiful place to camp, nice private pitches with long grass separating them, picnic tables which was a nice bonus and camp fires. Great facilities too (like a lovely shower and campers barn with a fridge freezer). The nature trail is a must and kids and adults alike will love meeting all the animals along the way. Lots of great hikes and walks to do from the site (don't do the longer forest one without a lot of breaks in the blistering heat, it's uphill most of the way) and it's not far at all to the village pub, restaurant and shops. Highly recommend.

A beautiful site with every detail carefully considered. Katie and Andy clearly care about nature and the environment a great deal. We stayed in the Tiny Home which was a perfect place to relax and explore some of the many local walks. We'll be back for sure. Can recommend highly e

Was lucky to find this campsite this year. Its an amazing, magical place - you get a lovely, dedicated, spacious pitch cut into the naturally long grown meadow, bounded by quiet nature reserve, rural fields and woodland. Its got fantastic sustainable facilities to make your stay really comfy. The hosts are approachable, friendly and helpful and have clearly learnt from their own extensive travels what makes a great camping experience. Can't recommend it highly enough!

A really honest down-to-earth campsite. One of the best we have ever stayed at. Facilities were spot on, all sustainable, and great hosts. I can't recommend it highly enough. (We were there June 2017 and I've been meaning to write a review ever since!)
