Arrived at this lovely friendly pub 😀 dog 🐕 friendly 👍staff and locals were very friendly 😀 had lovely cold drinks 🍸 🍺🥂🍻👍10/10 we are definitely going back 👍

Awful. This pub has really gone down. real ales are nearly always off. Scruffy bar area no atmosphere what a shame used to be a great pub

Posted on behalf of my sister. I've visited the Royal Oak before and have been happy with the food, customer service etc. However I was extremely disappointed to hear what my sister had to say. My sister had travelled all the way from Alaska to spend some time with our terminally ill father. Last Friday she took Dad to the Royal Oak, ordered drinks and food, within 5 minutes my father became unwell and had to leave. My sister asked for a refund for the food not the drinks, the food hadn't been served, she was promptly told no refund the order has gone through! Although I wasn't there, I could tell my sister was appalled and upset.

Absolutely no complaints, we stopped for lunch and the food was prepared quickly and was very nice. Would definitely visit again.
