Really nice deep course with good flows. Bit of a walk back up so it's worth playing on every feature and not just running it

If you require a bare bones stay overnight this is the place for you. Room was small for a twin and very cold. Heating is powered by an electric wall heater which takes ages to warm up. TV was a little 14" and dodgy aerial connection so some channels just go pixelated. The toilet gave up flushing in the end. Bed was very springy. Towels are like the washable nappies in the olden days. Breakfast used to include a full English but I guess cost cutting has led to to being an extra 6.50. Sport facility wise never used it but I assume its top notch given its watersports heritage. Lift doesn't work as hasn't done for a while. There's absolutely nothing to do in the evenings unless you are a gym bunny so be warned!

Interesting place to visit and watch people row

Loved the place. Camping has just what is needed. Toilets are being renovated. Camp reception was closed most of the time but didn't need anything. Could do with freezer for icepacks. The park is not over priced & staff were all helpful. Short 15 min walk to a lovely pub called poppy & pint great food & dogs allowed - would book if large group as busy even through the week (Google maps helped). Bus stop right outside campsite into Nottingham although lovely walk via the river will get you there. Will be coming back. Would note for small kids that the play area on the campsite is right next to a 40 mph road which leads into the water park which i found a little concerning.

Basic accommodation, but clean. Just a bit to far out of Nottingham for my needs, and not on a bus route. But the following morning after a hearty breakfast and several cups of tea to clear a slightly hungover body, a nice walk round the rowing lake. Beautiful sunlit stroll with a little frost in the shadows.
