I am updating an earlier review from 4 years ago, where we found that the then current staff we met were rather rude.
We stayed here again for a few nights to visit family in Oxford. The site was operating within COVID restrictions so the toilets were closed. The current staff were really great. Friendly and helpful - what a difference! The site itself remains essentially unchanged (as far as I could see). Pitches were generally level, but there is quite a bit of ground undulation across the site, so some levelling might be required. The site is close to quite close to a busy railway line, so there can be a bit of noise. The location is good for easy access to much of Oxford.
Nice site with good staff, reasonably close to Oxford centre. Located behind a Go Outdoors shed. Well sheltered from wind. Not a quiet place though because of lots of local traffic and the busy A34 close by. Sadly, shower block currently closed due to Covid, so you need your own sanitation.
Lovely site camp warden's very friendly couldn't do enough for us will definitely go again thank you for a lovely break
A good location for exploring Oxford. Very helpful friendly staff. We can’t comment on the facilities as it was the first week after lockdown had been lifted and they weren’t available. Not being members of the C&C club we paid a whopping £45 a night!!! Without any facilities (just EHU and water) we found this an absolute cheek! We’ve been to over 25 other sites since (travelling around Europe) and this is still the most expensive site we’ve stayed on and by no means the best! Even Switzerland didn’t come close! We look back now and feel we were totally ripped off! A very expensive parking place!
Very nice site and staff . Be careful turning off the main road in to the site as you stand a good chance of grounding out due to the camber of the road and driveway.
