A classy country house hotel and restaurant next to Nottingham Racecourse.This Hotel is steeped in history and dates back to the 11th Century and was recorded in the Domesday book. The woods and surrounding countryside with a lake are beautiful for a nice walk. I had the pleasure of an afternoon tea here which was delectable. Great friendly staff and lovely atmosphere 🤩
Very disappointing - difficult to tell what was on sandwiches and found a hair in the cake - spoiled my Birthday
Nice venue
Lovely rooms, clean, roomy and a beautiful period property. Bathroom was luxurious, our only slight gripe was that the bed wasn't very comfortable. The a la carte menu in the brasserie was top notch! The surroundings are beautiful, take your walking boots! We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
Lovely boutique hotel. We only spent 1 night there but we loved it. The hotel is quite outdated but the concept itself and the general atmosphere is really nice. The garden and the lake nearby are definitely a plus. Perfect setting for a wonderful morning walk! Excellent choice if you like poetry, nature, and if you are not too demanding especially in terms of comfort.
