We stopped here, whilst travelling, to meet some friends for lunch. I felt that our welcome was a little cold, however we were shown to our table which was in a nice quiet area and given menu's. We made our choices and our order was taken. When our meals arrived we were very impressed, I had the fish and chips which was delicious and a good sized portion. The pub itself is very nice, it looks newly decorated to a very high standard. We will certainly go back and meet our friends there.

Stopped on the off chance on the way home from the airport, so glad we did. Service was quick and friendly and the food was just what we needed. Great service, great food. Stop here, you won't regret it.

I have stayed at the Fox and Goose on several occasions. Always a warm friendly welcome, with a friendly bar and restaurant, serving exellent food. The rooms are clean and spacious. Large secure car park joining the hotel. I have stayed in sereral hotels in the area whilst on business, and always found the Fox and Goose to offer the warmest welcome, clean rooms, and friendly staff, and the best value for money. Looks lovely on the outside. Staff in the pub don't really know what there doing. One lady was rude and not interested in helping. The hotel room was far from clean. Cobwebs everywhere, including the hall. There was even a lovely surprise to find a toddlers pink jacket in one of the drawers. I would highly recommend you to book for a table in the restaurant, as it very busy especially after 4pm. I can also recommend you check your table is book for the correct day you stay as ours had been booked for the weekend, not mid-week. We then had the joys of sitting outside, cold, for an hour, waiting for our table.

Not a bad place, like I said when paying for an excellent meal, my only concern that parents bring children with them and don't make them behave, there again it not the kids it the parents to blame.
