Chose this hotel as the sample menu I downloaded looked nice. Checked in at the bar at 8.00pm (as hotel reception closed). I asked what time they finish serving food. He said "no food til next week". Luckily loads of nice pubs serving food within 10 minutes walk. Room adequate but dusty and full of cobwebs. Tea and coffee things all stuffed into a paper cup of indeterminate age and very dusty, so, not for me. Small towels but that's fine because there was no hot water for a shower. Fifty quid well spent? I fear not. A Premier Inn round the corner with luxuries like china cups and hot water for a shower all for the same price. Don't I feel silly.
Comfortable rooms, and conveniently located in yeovil. However is in transition under new owners. The owners are great and couldn't be more helpful however hotel is tired and smells musty. First impressiins is a shared carpark with a doctors surgery, but the spaces allocated for tge hotel are in what seems a junk yard with matresses and old furniture srrewn around.The key clients seem to be work away builders and road workers who on the night I stayed were very noisy and drunk. The room next door stank of cannabis. In time I have no doubt this will be a great place to stay.
Since this review the new owners have reached out and been extremely accommodating in assisting me with my booking issue. I’m really pleased with their service so far and hope for a pleasant stay next year. Thank you for your help
We visited yesterday and the host Sarah was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
