Lovely location,owners very helpful, stayed in caravan this time but camping pitches and facilities looked wonderful from outside so hopefully next year be camping there if this virus calms down
Good location, clean and quiet.
Lovely camp site. Great woodland tent pitches, but we stayed in the slightly more open pitch near the toilet and washing block.
Great having option of a bbq and firepit (has to be off the ground and they hire them if you don't have one).can't understand why some places don't allow firepits.
Policy of no amplified music makes for a relaxing stay. In August the site is visited by gluten free fish and chip van on Wednesday and vegan cafe on Thursday, plus take away cream teas. Unfortunately we had already got our food before coming to the site.
Nice having a fridge freezer in the washing up room, but the freezer could have been a bit bigger for all the blocks being frozen. Couple of nice lakes if you like fishing.
Would recommend Kingsmead to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break and would definitely come again.
Stayed in The Willow. Beautiful static caravan with Bath and Separate shower , pure bliss being able to have a hot bubble bath when it’s blowing a gale outside. Bed extremely comfortable. Huge outdoor sitting area with sofa and table, which would be fantastic in the summer months. Tv signal perfect. Wi-Fi very fast for location. Close to site shop. Very quiet and tranquil setting , perfect for the ultimate country escape. Car essential to make the most of the local area, lots to do and see within 20 mile radius. Owners very welcoming and helpful and grounds immaculate. Central heating kept us toasty and warm. Highly recommend and will be back again very soon.
Idyllic setting in the Blackdown Hills, and absolutely brilliant service from the owners. Thoroughly recommended
