Nice beer, awful Sunday roast. Had a beef roast today. Beef undercooked, and tough enough to nail on the bottom of your boots. Left 95% of the meat on side of the plate. Veg was adequate, to poor. Landlord gave 50% off , but the moment was gone.
Spencer and his team at the Royal Oak could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Spencer the owner has not been there that long but what a host the food was lovely and homely and the surroundings are stunning i would recommend the royal Oak to anyone 5 star all the way.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, dog friendly, staff very helpful. Nice enclosed courtyard garden at the back. Would recommend.
Excellent service during my wedding. I was married at the village hall and hired out rooms at the Royal Oak. The suite was outstanding.
