This is truly a beautiful hotel right in the Hart of Taunton. The greeting on arrival was so nice, friendly, and so welcoming. My room was spotless, warm and very nice. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, you won't be disappointed.

Went for afternoon tea last week. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Food was appalling scones were fruitless....brownie was meant to be salted caramel and vanilla and tasted nothing like it. More butter than other filling in the salmon sandwiches. Lemon drizzle cake was dry. 3 of us went and only 1 pot of jam and cream were provided (normally you recieve a portion each). Addressed issues with them and poor response which i had to chase up with them! Expensive for what is it.... no wonder most other people in the resurant at that time left most of their food and didnt take it home! Just because no one else felt the need to address the issues doesnt mean mine isn't valid (but according to the castle hotel it does!!) If visiting taunton you can save alot of money with better quality and quantity down the road in one of the many other tea rooms in town! This was a special time for us to take my termially ill mother out for a treat and they totally ruined it and were completely unapologetic! Also havr the cheek to charge you to use their parking

Love this hotel! Really charming and full of character. But still renovated, with good showers and comfortable beds. Staff was really welcoming and did their best efforts to make sure we had the best time there. The restaurant is also very good. We had dinner twice there and really enjoyed the ambience and food. I recommend it!
