Had a lovely meal last night at this venue. Came up from Leicester to take my son out, that is studying at the University. Just the 2 of us. We had the steak rib eye and burger 🍔 😋
Served by Francesca, who provide great table service. Lovely food and a warm , professional welcome. Very clear and prompt with covid rules. Feeling very safe and wanting to return in the future. Highly recommend.
We visit this place regularly as we live nearby. Liz and her team are very hospitable, especially in these most testing of times. Food is good, and the drinks range is excellent! I visited Saturday 17th October with my wife and we had a great evening. The process of checking in and being lead to our table to ordering our drinks was all very prompt. Generally the feeling in the place was nice relaxing.
6 of us enjoyed a lunch on my Dads 90th birthday. We all opted for mains and were not disappointed at all. With plenty on the menu to choose from and all served with generous/ reasonable portions. All very tasty.
And same goes for deserts. All of which we enjoyed, as well a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and great service from all the staff😎.
I would recommend the Crown 👑 as great place visit for drinks / meals or both.

Food always excellent and cannot wait for the re opening in December
Started off great, starters were amazing.
Sunday roast was a bit weird, with red onion in the peas.... service also started great but were left waiting 20 mins for dessert order to be taken so didn't bother in the end.
Overall good, but not great
